Dancing: Expression Through Non-Verbal Communication

To those who know me very well, they know that I absolutely love to boogie. It may even be an addiction. I am Filipino and music is represented in my culture, especially through movement. I use dance as a way to lighten the mood, shake any emotion away and of coarse, to stay active.  It is a way to express emotion without verbal communication.  And when I say that I love to dance, I mean that I love to dance anywhere. I take a variety of classes at my local gym, such as, Zumba, contemporary, hip-hop, etc. Sometimes I'll hear a song play in the grocery store and I'll casually bop while no one is watching. In the article below, various dancers state why they dance. Reading all of the positive reasons as to why these dancers dance brings me so much joy.  Here is the link to "Why Do You Dance: A Collection of Dancer Opinions" published on DancePlace: https://www.danceplace.com/grapevine/why-do-you-dance-a-collection-of-dancer-opinions/
